Prior to taking up the agenda, the Chairperson expressed condolences to the families and victims of the tragic crash of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 in Ukraine. The Council then observed a moment of silence. The Permanent Council adopted the Declaration on the Tragic Crash of the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 in Ukraine (PC.DOC/2/14) (Ukraine, interpretative statement; Australia, Partner for Co-operation, Annex 1).
