
Lisbon Summit 1996
In the Lisbon Declaration on a Common and Comprehensive Security Model for Europe for the Twenty-First Century, the OSCE participating States outlined security challenges and possibilities for co-operative approaches to meeting them.

About
Aside from the Lisbon Declaration, the OSCE Heads of State or Government also adopted a Framework for Arms Control, designed to create a web of interlocking and mutually reinforcing commitments in the area of arms control and confidence- and security-building measures (CSBMs). In the Summit document, the OSCE States welcomed Kazakhstan’s, Ukraine’s and Belarus' removal of nuclear warheads from their territories.
